Grounding Drainage Measures to Reduce Influence of DC Grounding Electrode on Pipeline
With the rapid growth of energy demand in China, more and more DC transmission projects are adjacent to buried oil-gas pipeline, which leads to serious electromagnetic effects on buried metal pipeline. Focusing on the protection measures of pipeline, this paper establishes a circuit model based on the study of concentrated grounding device, sacrificial anode, forced cathode drainage measures. Protective effect and regularities of these measures have been studied by simulation. Results show that concentrated grounding device of pipeline can reduce pipe-ground voltage of partial pipeline significantly, but its range of action is too small. Sacrificial anode has a palpable effect of reducing pipe-ground voltage as long distance buried pipeline. What’s more, multipoint connection between sacrificial anode and pipe can obtain a better protection effect. The forced current cathodic drainage protection can also reduce the pipe-ground voltage.
