Seismic Performance Study on DC Wall Bushing of ±800 kV Dianxibei UHVDC Transmission Project
In high altitude and high earthquake intensity areas, excellent seismic performance should be the key point for UHVDC (ultra-high voltage direct current) wall bushing design, manufacture and operation. In order to solve seismic performance problems of wall bushing, according to the 9 degree intensity anti-seismic requirement of the Xinsong sending converter station of Dianxibei UHVDC transmission project, in order to evaluate wall bushing seismic performance, the finite element models combined with the wall bushing and valve hall of ±800 kV Dianxibei UHVDC transmission project have been established to get the seismic responses. As the analysis results show that the seismic responses are large, the anti-seismic design of the metal friction type dampers has been carried out to increase the safety and anti-seismic reliability of the wall bushing. Then the bushing support used in the shaking table test has been designed and manufactured based on the numerical simulation. The shaking table test on the DC wall bushing of project supply equipment has been made to compare the seismic response before and after the dampers installed on DC wall bushing. The results show that the existence of metal friction dampers could decrease the seismic response obviously. The maximum stress response decreases 39.2% while the maximum relative displacement decreases 71.3%, and the stress safety factor could increase to 2.52 from 1.53. The anti-seismic performance of DC wall bushing has been substantially increased to fulfill the project seismic requirement.
