Abstract

When two-point-successive grounding faults occurs, the accuracy of fault line selection is low. This paper proposes a fault line selection method for two-point-successive grounding of power distribution lines based on the relationship between the amplitude and phase of characteristic component amplitude of zero sequence current when fault occurs. The zero sequence voltage of bus and zero sequence current of each feeder are collected in real time, and the characteristic components of zero sequence current are extracted and processed, and their amplitude and phase relationship are compared to realize the line selection of two-point successive grounding faults. The successive grounding faults of different fault feeders are simulated and tested in a 10 kV small current grounding system. Results show that the proposed method can select the grounding line correctly and has certain engineering practical value.
