Primary Frequency Regulation Control Strategy with Wind-Storage Cooperation Based on Multi-Objective Optimization
The increase of renewable energy permeability impacts on the stable operation of power system, leading to the complexity of power grid frequency regulation (FR) process. Therefore, a control strategy of wind-storage cooperative primary FR based on multi-objective optimization is proposed. Firstly, a primary FR model with the cooperative participation of wind storage is constructed. The pitch control is used to enable the wind turbines to participate in the FR of the power grid, and the wind speed is decomposed to eliminate its uncertainty. According to the characteristics of the state of charge (SOC) of the energy storage, adaptive control based on the change of SOC is adopted for the energy storage, and the variable system parameters to be optimized are used to characterize the output demand of the wind-storage. Then, the main cost of wind-storage cooperative participation in FR is analyzed, and multi-objective optimization problem is designed according to FR effect, wind power and energy storage FR loss. On this basis, the NSGA-Ⅱ genetic algorithm is improved through the time-varying adjustment of the fitness coefficient to obtain the parameter solution set under the optimal state, and a comprehensive evaluation index is designed to select the optimal solution of the Pareto front-end distribution. The simulation results show that the solutions of different Pareto front-end positions can better reflect the considerations of different control objectives and obtain the optimal system parameters to meet the FM requirements in different situations.
